Inter were missing a couple players in Tuesday’s Champions League win over RB Leipzig.

One was defender Acerbi. The 36-year-old had sustained a thigh knock during the Nerazzurri’s Serie A win over Hellas Verona last weekend.

Then, midfielder Frattesi also pulled out of the squad. The former Sassuolo midfielder had suffered a slight knee problem in training ahead of the match.

However, neither Acerbi nor Frattesi have had to wait long for their returns to training.

Both of the pair are back in full training with the rest of the squad in today’s session, reports the Gazzetta.

That is good news for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi. The coach is currently coping with the blow that is the loss of Benjamin Pavard to injury.

The Nerazzurri have another big match right around the corner. They face Fiorentina away in Serie A on Sunday.

La Viola are level on points with the Nerazzurri going into this weekend’s match. It will be a tough outing, and Inzaghi will want as many players as possible available.
