Jon Obi Mikel has just put out a podcast in the wake of a couple of damaging defeats, for Chelsea, and it was a pretty spicy one.

We’ve already covered a number of his topics from the chat, including his discussion of a potential move for his countryman Victor Osimhen with his co-host, but his concluding rallying cry was perhaps the most spicy part of all.

Like many Chelsea fans, he’s seen enough of this team over the last few years. Things are getting worse and worse, and while many fans were fooled by a run of good form before Christmas, the reality is that this whole project is pretty rotten, and has been since day one.

John Obi Mikel on his podcast.

“It’s gonna be a f*cking disaster if we don’t finish in a Champions League position. I hate what the manager has said, who the f*ck has told him that? Are you f*cking kidding me? This is Chelsea Football Club,” Mikel ranted after watching his old team slip to 6th in the table as their poor run continued.

“If you love a football club, you should be passionate enough to point out what’s not going right. When people say it’s too much negativity, no it’s not! Now we can see what’s happening. I’ve been f*cking right this whole time.

“When things are not going right, it’s my duty [to say it]. I can’t just stay silent, then I’m not helping the football club. If you’re a Chelsea fan, don’t accept what’s going on is right. It’s not! Your voice is needed, our voice is needed.”

What comes next? We don’ t know, but it could get ugly.
