Already named the best Monegasque player in February, the Danish striker from AS Monaco has done it again by winning the title of MVP of the month by Bang & Olufsen for the second time in a row.
He finished the February marathon with a third hat-trick in as many home games against Stade de Reims. If the month of March was much less busy in terms of the calendar, Mika Biereth hardly dropped his own rhythm. Already with ten goals in Ligue 1 before facing Toulouse for the first of three matches last month, the Dane was once again decisive.
Since joining AS Monaco and Ligue 1, he has shown that he is a real goalscorer! We were looking for a player like him, capable of scoring a lot of goals to break new ground. (...) He is in great shape and full of confidence! But we must not forget the work he does for the team, how hard he fights.
Not by scoring for once, but by providing an assist to Takumi Minamino for the opening goal in a draw in Toulouse (1-1). This one match would be the duration of his “drought” in the opponent’s penalty area, though since the following weekend, the new AS Monaco striker would score in Angers to help the Rouge et Blanc get back to winning ways on the road (0-2).
Perfectly found by Caio Henrique with a pinpoint cross, the newly minted Danish international was not going to be asked twice to put his superb control-strike combination into practice. It was therefore with full confidence that he then joined his national team to celebrate his debut for his country and it was a break that did not affect his effectiveness in front of goal, as he would finally show clinical form in the Derby.
Even though Nice struck first in the big match of the 27th round of Ligue 1, MikaGOAL took advantage of a subtle pass into his feet by Maghnes Akliouche,to catapult the ball into Marcin Bulka’s top corner (1-1, 56′)! It was another goal, his twelfth this season in the top flight, which would lead his teammates towards a crucial win in the race for the podium (2-1).
My deflection for Mika? He always positions himself well, so when we play him in, it often goes well for him. He scored again today, it's great for him!

But above all, a goal that puts him a little further into the history books, with only Hugo Alberto Curioni in 1973-1974 (14 with Nantes) having scored more in a first division season starting from January in the last 75 years, specifies Opta. It’s quite simple, the 22-year-old center forward now scores on average every 67 minutes in L1 this season.
It was an impressive record after only 10 appearances in the French top flight, which was well worth a double this March! After February, the latter has indeed quite logically won his second MVP of the Month trophy by Bang & Olufsen, with around 70% of the votes from Monaco fans on the Club’s social networks. Will it also be enough to win the UNFP Award this time? 👀 Daghe Mika ! 🇲🇨
