The importance of the ongoing season with Manchester City is a fact that Jack Grealish is aware of, according to a recent report detailing insight into the player’s mindset.

The Englishman has come into the new season with a point to prove, having been snubbed by Gareth Southgate for the European Championships squad with England over the course of the summer.

A combination of injuries and personal life challenges prevented Jack Grealish from putting together any momentum and a string of form last campaign, resulting in the forward losing his place in the Three Lions squad and handing more opportunities to teammate Jeremy Doku.

However, having taken on a complete pre-season with Pep Guardiola and City in the USA, the new campaign has started brightly for Grealish whilst his international career appears to be back on track having taken on successive starts for England for the first time since 2021.

But Grealish himself is aware that the work is far from done, and in order to really grasp his top-level career once again, his fine form needs to be maintained throughout the course of the ongoing season.

According to a recent report from The Telegraph, it is revealed that Jack Grealish knows his ongoing resurgence with both Manchester City and the England international team has to continue.

It is further explained that the 29-year-old is fully aware of its importance, whilst Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola is demanding more from the former Aston Villa captain, too.

Additionally, and on a more personal note, the report also reveals that Guardiola was delighted with the news that Grealish will soon become a father, with the Catalan tactician feeling that it will bring a new level of maturity to the forward.

Grealish has added competition in the Manchester City set-up this season, with the club recruiting Savinho from ESTAC Troyes in a big-money transfer that could reach a total expenditure of £33.6 million.

Oscar Bobb was also tipped for a breakthrough campaign with the squad this season, however a freak leg fracture prior to the start of the Premier League schedule meant the Norway international will be ruled out until at least the end of November.

Manchester City return to domestic league action this weekend as they welcome Brentford to the Etihad Stadium, before the UEFA Champions League returns for another campaign via a revamped ‘League Phase’ format with Inter visiting the north-west next week.
