Everton have shown good resistance in their previous two league games. They are 16th in the points table, just two points clear of the relegation level. Hence, they should keep winning points to avoid falling into the danger zone later on.

The Toffees will next face Chelsea in the domestic league next week in an away fixture. It is going to be a tough game as the former side haven’t won away from home since mid-December. Moreover, they have only one victory at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

Defence

Jordan Pickford didn’t have much to do in the previous game. He looked comfortable and should be deployed between the sticks once again without any second thought. Seamus Coleman dropped an impressive performance at the right-back position. There is no question over his selection.

Vitalii Mykolenko and James Tarkowski will once again form the heart of the defence. They will have to play a formidable role if Everton want to overpower Chelsea. The left full-back position belongs to Jarrad Branthwaite as usual.

Midfield

Jack Harrison is expected to walk into the XI and partner with James Garner in the midfield. The latter midfielder suffered a knock but should be fine to start. For the wide areas, Dwight McNeil gets retained while Amadou Onana makes a return. It also means that Ashley Young and Andre Gomes will be sent to the bench.

Abdoulaye Doucoure to continue playing as an attacking midfield. He is trying his best to get back into his prior form.

Attack

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the undisputed striker in the lineup. He has scored two goals in the last two games and will be desperate to find the back of the net once again.

While Dele Alli and Lewis Dobbin remain unavailable for selection, Idrissa Gueye and Arnaut Danjuma could be making a comeback into the team.
