Newcastle United are preparing to host Sheffield United at home in the Premier League this weekend. After a memorable victory over Tottenham Hotspur, the former side were reduced to a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.
Hence, the Magpies will aim at returning to the winning ways on Saturday night. They are seventh in the domestic points table and will look to finish the season as high as possible.
Martin Dubravka wasn’t happy with his defensive members in front who left too much space to exploit. He will expect a better show from his teammates when he again operates between the sticks this week. Jacob Murphy wasn’t convincing enough and was taken off at half-time. Hence, Tino Livramento is expected to start as the right-back.
Though the centre-back duo of Emil Krafth and Fabian Schar continues, they need to do much better to shield the goal. Dan Burn started the game on a solid note but couldn’t maintain the intensity in the next half. However, he should be the left full-back in the lineup.

Midfield
Eddie Howe might not make any change in the midfield. So the trio of Elliot Anderson, Sean Longstaff, and Bruno Guimaraes is likely to take onto the field as usual.
Attack
While Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak take charge of the flanks, Harvey Barnes should also continue to lead the offensive line. However, the latter should be more clinical in the final third as he missed some good chances against Crystal Palace.
Sven Botman (ACL), Jamaal Lascelles (ACL), Joe Willock (Achilles), Matt Targett (Achilles), Lewis Miley (back), Nick Pope (shoulder), Kieran Trippier (calf), Miguel Almiron (knee) and Joelinton (thigh) are the confirmed absentees for the Magpies.
