Michael Hector struck on target in the 6’ in a match in which he collected his ninth Copa America appearance, extending his record as the all-time leader for Jamaica.
Jahmali Waite got a hand to deflect a shot in the 42’ from Darwin Machis.
Eduard Bello ended the deadlock in the 49' with a header in the box to place Venezuela in the lead.
Salomon Rondon doubled the Venezuela lead in the 56' with a hit inside the box.
Kaheim Dixon had an attempt on goal in the 77’ as the Reggae Boyz continued to look for their first goal.
Eric Ramirez added a third for the South Americans in the 85’ to seal the victory and first place in the group.
