Only Mohamed Salah (nine goals) has now scored more times than Vardy on the opening day, who is now level with Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Alan Shearer.

He might be ageing like a fine wine, but it was another drink associated with him that he gulped at halftime ahead of a big 45 for his side. It seemingly worked too.
