The New England Revolution keep up their busy off-season and add striker Ignatius Ganago on a six month loan. The Revolution have an option to extend the loan another 6 months if desired AND have a purchase option on the loan. The 25 year old is a Cameroon international forward who has 14 caps for his national team.
Ganago is coming over from FC Nantes in Ligue 1 where he has 6 goals and 5 assists in 57 career games for the club. He also has an additional 20 goals and 5 assists for OGC Nice and RC Lens in his career. Unfortunately, he has struggled a bit in France this season failing to score or assist on a goal in 300 minutes played for the club. He now joins the Revs as what I’d assume is a backup striker role behind Leo Campana. Even with that, I think Ganago is in a prime spot to get a ton of minutes and earn his spot on Caleb Porter’s roster.
