Remember Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo's makeshift performance days ago? Well, recently, club prodigy, Shea Charles recreated this for Sheffield Wednesday.
There's a chance you might someday even forget Southampton's main lineup stars, but never club prodigy Shea Charles. After all, who isn't familiar with the midfielder's memorable full-circle move?
But, seriously, what the Saints prodigy is currently doing for Sheffield Wednesday is really commendable. To say the least, Shea Charles is proving why he's so valuable for boss Danny Rohl.
In fact, given his recent heroics, your mind will surely trigger your thoughts towards a familiar Southampton name.
Ok, let's not suspense it this much, it's Joe Aribo.
Remember the Southampton vs Ipswich game? Well, being a rare win for the Saints, it's definitely a memorable game for the fans.
But know that it couldn't have been possible if not for a solid Aribo performance in the backline role. Such was the attacking midfielder's display in the defence that day.
Guess what? Southampton loanee Shea Charles replicated the same for Sheffield recently. Being moved in the defense due to multiple squad injuries, Charles stood as a wall in their backline against Sunderland.
If that wasn't impressive enough, Charles' post-match comment will surely make your day.
As quoted by The Star, Charles said: “I’d never complain about having to change position, it’s all about what’s best for the team and I’m happy to do it."
Now, that's some remarkable words from the prodigy talent, who despite losing, gave his best for Sheffield.
But, as they say, every effort counts in the end. Here, in Charles' case, his successive brilliant displays surely hint Southampton to bring him back.
You might remember, even the last time in the Championship, Shea Charles was an important player for the Saints. Just imagine, how impactfully he can help the club this time, given he has matured one more year, delivering crucial performances.
The last time, in Southampton's Championship stint, Charles was a lucky charm for the club. Let's hope with his return, another promotion is near.
