It looks like a move from Liga MX to Major League Soccer has not been a difficult one for Joe Corona.

Corona, who won the 2018 Apertura with América when they defeated Cruz Azul, went on record to explain that the two clubs are more similar than people may think.

“The Los Angeles Galaxy are like América in Mexico, they are the biggest teams and in many ways they are similar”, says the two-time Gold Cup champion with the United States Men’s National Team. “In terms of greatness, [the two clubs] are very similar.”

The 28-year-old midfielder, who joined the Galaxy in March following Giovani dos Santos’ departure, has played in 15 MLS games for the Galaxy this season and has assisted in one goal.
