Jonathan Gradit’s (32) future at RC Lens looked uncertain during the January transfer window. Amid interest from Stade Rennais, the player’s agent went public in expressing frustration at his client’s playing time. However, that has naturally changed since the departures of Kevin Danso and Abdukodir Khusanov during the January transfer window.
The Frenchman has once again become a key element of Will Still’s defence. Gradit is certainly no longer angling for a move. In fact, he is looking to extend his stay with Les Sang et Or. The centre-back’s current deal at the Bollaert will expire at the end of next season.
According to a report from Foot Mercato, he is set to extend that deal by a further two seasons, which will see him remain with the club until the summer of 2028. Gradit, as per the publication, has been convinced by the project at Lens and there is a chance that the Frenchman may remain with the club until the end of his career.
