The 21-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with VfB but they are yet to reach an agreement with Hamburg. The 2. Bundesliga side want around €6m-€7m for Vagnoman, but Stuttgart have reportedly only offered around half of that.
HSV Sporting Director Jonas Boldt has the backing from the Supervisory Board not to sell Vagnoman for any less than their valuation, despite trying to complete deals for Emir Sahiti and Jean-Luc Dompé.
Vagnoman has two-years remaining on his current deal until 2024. The German youth international missed much of last season, playing just 672 minutes of 2. Bundesliga football across 12 games.
Talks between Stuttgart and Hamburg for Vagnoman will continue but whether an agreement can be reached is a different matter. Even though HSV aren’t pressured into selling Vagnoman, if they are serious about more signings, then they may be forced to sell the German right-back.
