Jude Bellingham names ‘the most gifted player’ at Real Madrid | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has this week singled out whom he feels is ‘the most gifted’ player in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

The player in question? Rodrygo.

Attacker Rodrygo was of course in flying form once more last night, as Real Madrid booked their spot in the Last-16 of the Champions League.

The Brazilian was afforded a starting berth on the right of Los Blancos’ frontline, and went on to terrorise Man City’s defence over the course of the 90 minutes.

So often overlooked owing to the talents of teammates Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr. and Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, in turn, took his place front and centre in post-match discussion on CBS Sports on Wednesday.

And, upon his teammate’s name being put to Bellingham himself, the England international made use of the opportunity to wax lyrical about Rodrygo:

“Rodrygo is the most gifted player in the squad. The things he can do with a ball, he flicks the ball up and you say ‘How does he do it?’. When I do it, I twist my ankle (laughs).”
