England and Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham has this evening moved to send a message of appreciation to the retiring Toni Kroos.
As much, of course, comes after Kroos took to the pitch in a competitive setting for the very last time.
After announcing his decision to hang up his boots on the back of Germany’s Euro 2024 campaign, the 34-year-old led Die Mannshacft into a crunch quarter-final showdown with Spain.
And, when all was said and done, despite the best efforts of Germany’s midfield maestro, it was the latter who emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result.
This, in turn, means that Kroos’ iconic career has indeed come to a close.
It should therefore come as little surprise to hear of messages of tribute flooding in across social media late on Friday night.
And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, adding his name to the list was one of Kroos’ most high-profile teammates at club level.
Taking to his official Instagram account, Jude Bellingham unveiled a photo the departing Real Madrid man, accompanied by the infinity symbol, and a goat emoji:
