According to a report from Foot Mercato, Juventus have rejected an approach from RB Leipzig to sign Timothy Weah (24) on a loan deal with an option to buy.

After four years at Lille OSC, Weah left the French side to join Juventus in 2023 signing a contract that will keep him in Italy until 2028. His first season in Serie A was somewhat of a disappointment. The US international was used frequently as he made 35 appearances across all competitions but he could only register one goal and two assists.

This year his output has been far more impressive as new head coach Thiago Motta has embraced his flexibility (utilising him on either wing and also as a striker). Weah has registered four goals and four assists in 20 appearances across all competitions.

Foot Mercato writes that Juventus have no intention of allowing Weah to leave and the Bundesliga side will have to restart their search for a new attacker.
