Daniele Rugani is on the verge of a loan move to Ajax, without an option to buy, while Juventus also announce two official deals.

The Bianconeri have no role for Rugani in the current squad under new coach Thiago Motta, despite only extending his contract in May.

He is now tied to the club until June 2026 and at the age of 30 still has much to give in his career.

There were links with Genoa, Atalanta and Al-Shabab, but Ajax were always the favourites, as Rugani is targeted by coach Francesco Farioli.

According to Calciomercato.it and Sportitalia, his agent Davide Torchia met with Juventus directors today and confirmed the defender would prefer Ajax.

It is expected to be a dry loan, so without an option to buy, but with Ajax covering all his wages during the 2024-25 season.

Before completing the transfer, the Dutch giants first need to sell someone in defence to make room.

Rugani not only Juventus player on the move

In other news, Juventus have officially sold former youth player Marley Aké to Yverdon Sport FC in Switzerland.

Meanwhile, the club also announced that Nicolò Savona has signed a new contract to June 2029 and is promoted from the Next Gen side to the senior squad under Thiago Motta.

The 21-year-old plays on the right side of defence or midfield, but can also work as a central defender.
