The transfer window may be closed in most markets, but Juventus still have hope they can find new clubs for Arthur Melo and Filip Kostic.

The Bianconeri were extremely active this summer in completely revamping their squad to suit the style of new coach Thiago Motta.

That also means cutting much of the existing team built by predecessor Max Allegri, but the job has not yet been completed.

Kostic had been in talks with Fiorentina, but they turned to Robin Gosens from Union Berlin instead.

Arthur Melo returned from his loan spell with the Viola and had been an option for Napoli if they had failed to get first choice Billy Gilmour.

If the pair were to remain in Turin until January, it would cost Juventus circa €5m in wages (€2m gross for Kostic and €3.2m for Arthur).

There are still some markets open to sign new players, specifically Saudi Arabia and Turkey, where the Brazilian midfielder might have a better chance of getting offers.

Kostic might be more difficult to place, especially as Calciomercato.com claim it was the Serbia international who in fact turned down Fiorentina and various other proposals.

It seems that he is convinced he can change Thiago Motta’s mind, just like Weston McKennie did, but with the arrival of new wingers and full-backs, it will be extremely difficult.
