Francisco Conceiçao didn’t get the start in the Derby due to some rotation, but he still made his presence felt, contributing to sealing the deal with one of his usual sprints and an assist for Kenan Yildiz late in the game.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri took a risk by signing him on loan with no guarantees for the future, but they are supremely confident he’ll stay with them for years to come. While they didn’t obtain an option to buy, his price tag is set by his future release clause. It will amount to €30M in early July.
The Bianconeri will see whether there’s some wiggle room but are willing to pay as much as it takes to keep ahold of Conceiçao. The speedster has recorded 2 goals and 5 helpers in 601 total minutes.
Juventus could try to use Tiago Djaló as a bargaining chip. The defender is finally getting consistent minutes. He has featured six times and scored twice.
Unless it has some loopholes and isn’t a standard one, activating the release clause is unlikely since it generally has to be settled on the nail and not in installments like any normal transfer. The sum seemed high at first, but his performances justify the investment, although they’ll surely look for a way to limit the disbursement since they already spent a decent buck to have him this season. The decision to cash in on Matias Soulé and sign new wingers mostly derived from financial reasons, but it has worked out on the pitch as well, as, besides the Roma mess, he’s not as explosive.
