David Raya was again top-notch with his distribution and collection. He will be operating between the sticks once again. Right-back Thomas Partey continues to own the position and there are no doubts over his selection.

The centre-back duo of Jakub Kiwior and William Saliba did enough against Monaco. They will try to keep another clean sheet this weekend. Myles Lewis-Skelly was given a go at the left-back position to which he responded well.

However, as Jurrien Timber is fully fit, he will walk back into the XI to take up his position.

Midfield

Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard remain undisputed picks in the Arsenal’s midfield. The latter had an unusual outing in the previous game and will look to redeem himself.

On the other hand, Mikel Merino looked a bit clumsy but should retain his position. He might get better and better with time.

Attack

The hero of the last night, Bukayo Saka, continues to operate on the right wing. However, Kai Havertz is likely to return at the cost of Gabriel Jesus.

Mikel Arteta might even give the green light to Leandro Trossard ahead of Gabriel Martinelli for the left-winger role.

Ben White (knee) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) are confirmed absentees while Riccardo Calafiori (knee), Gabriel Magalhaes (unspecified) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (muscle) are uncertain.
