The defender reacts to stalemate with Bologna

Hassane Kamara explained the influence of captain Florian Thauvin after the 1-1 draw with Bologna to kick off the season.

“It’s a very positive thing for me to have Thauvin as our captain. He works so hard and lives for football. We all follow his lead.

“We picked up a good point today away from home against a Champions League team. We need to do better on the ball and try to get more moves going.

“It was a good duel with [Riccardo] Orsolini today. He had a strong mentality and it’s great to play against players like him. I fought for every ball.

“Next week we have our first home match in front of our fans and it’ll be an important one. Thank you to our supporters who were in attendance today and really helped us out. They’re always with us.”
