Liverpool entertained Southampton at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win in the FA Cup. The Reds made a solid start to the game and managed to get their noses ahead thanks to Lewis Koumas’ deflected effort in the 44th minute. Jurgen Klopp‘s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

LB: Kostas Tsimikas – 7.5/10

The Greek full-back was a positive influence in both halves.

CM: James McConnell – 6/10

He was full of energy and running but struggled to get a foothold in the game.

CM: Joe Gomez – 7/10

Gomez anchored the midfield with conviction but lacked quality in the Southampton half.

He came back to defend when needed and managed to catch the eye in the final third. Clark has got an assist to show for his efforts.
