France U21 manager Sylvain Ripoll has announced his 23-man squad to play in the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship this summer. The tournament is set to be held in Romania and Georgia from June 21 to July 8. Liverpool targets Khéphren Thuram (22) and Manu Koné (22) have both made the cut. Four Olympique Lyonnais key players have been called up by Ripoll, namely centre-back Castello Lukeba (20), midfielder Maxence Caqueret (23) as well as forwards Bradley Barcola (20) and Rayan Cherki (19).

Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier (23) and Crystal Palace midfielder Michael Olise (21) feature in the squad, as well as free-scoring Montpellier forward Elye Wahi (20). Les Bleuets have been drawn in Group D for the upcoming tournament. France will play Italy on June 23rd, Norway two days later and Switzerland on June 28th. Games will be played in Cluj, Romania.
