Konrad, Manaj score as Barcelona B defeat Ibiza to secure playoff place | OneFootball

Barcelona B defeated Ibiza 2-1 on Sunday at the Johan Cruyff stadium to book their place in the Segunda B promotion playoffs.

First-half goals from Konrad de la Fuente and Rey Manaj helped Garcia Pimienta's side into a promising position at the break.

Antonio 'Davo' David pulled one back for Ibiza in the second half but the islanders were unable to find an equaliser.

Barça B are second in the six-team mini-league and cannot be caught by fourth-placed Andorra with just one match to go.

With the top three progressing into the playoffs for a place in the second tier of Spanish football, Barca are now guaranteed their place at the party.

Both goals against Ibiza arrived in two first-half minutes, with Manaj opening the scoring in the 22nd minute.

Konrad then started and, eventually, finished a move to double Barça's lead with his fourth goal in his last three games for the reserve team.

Davo's goal before the hour mark looked to set the stage for a comeback but Barça defended well to seal three precious points.
