La Liga strugglers Las Palmas are set to be without a leading member of the club’s backline for their next outing.

This comes owing to developments in Los Amarillos’ latest outing.

Las Palmas marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Son Moix for a La Liga meeting with RCD Mallorca.

When all was said and done, the visitors found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 3-1 result.

And Las Palmas’ woes were not confined solely to the eventual scoreline.

In addition, Diego Martínez’s troops were dealt a blow on the personnel front. This came deep into injury time, upon defender Scott McKenna being shown his latest yellow card.

The Scot’s fifth of the Spanish top-flight campaign to date, McKenna is now facing up to a one-game suspension.

As much will be served next Saturday, when Las Palmas play host to high-flying Barcelona.
