Lazio Attacker Risks Three-Match Ban for Violent Conduct

Lazio forward Tijjani Noslin could reportedly be slapped with a three-match ban in the Europa League following his dismissal against Dynamo Kyiv.

The Dutchman’s maiden appearance for the club on the European stage was utterly disastrous. He replaced Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the 79th minute, only to receive his marching orders after three minutes for elbowing Vladyslav Dubinchak. Luckily for Lazio, the win was already in the bag at that point, so Noslin’s teammates managed to keep their 3-0 lead intact.

The 24-year-old is now suspended for Thursday’s encounter against Nice. But according to Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the versatile attacker risks missing out on another two Europa League encounters.

UEFA Could Hand Noslin Three-Match Ban

As the source explains, if the UEFA officials consider the incident a “violent conduct”, Noslin will likely be on the receiving end of a three-match ban. The Roman newspaper notes that the European sports judges have been rigid in their application of this rule. In this case, Lazio would consider appealing the decision in an attempt to lower the sanction.

Noslin joined the Italian capital side in the summer following a brief, yet prosperous spell at Hellas Verona, thus reuniting with Marco Baroni. The Dutchman opened his account immediately after coming off the bench against Torino last Sunday.
