Torino in Prime Position to Sign Cesare Casadei

But according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino have taken the lead and could secure a full agreement with Chelsea in the coming hours. The Granata held positive talks with the Premier League giants in recent days, while Lazio fell short in their attempts to retake the lead, as their last proposal was deemed less enticing.

New Issues Emerge

Moreso, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano claims Lazio couldn’t find an agreement with Casadei’s entourage on wages. For their part, La Lazio Siamo Noi explain that the Aquile have asked the player to give up part of his salary so they can raise their bid, as the gap between the two clubs is circa €500,000.

Lazio Miss Out on Casadei?

But while the various sources may disagree on the reasons, their reports almost reconcile when it comes to the conclusion, as they all suggest that Casadei’s transfer to Lazio could be off, or at the very least, unlikely. Hence, we can expect the Biancocelesti to turn to alternative options sooner rather than later, as the market doors will slam shut next Monday.
