Lazio set to sign Marseille’s Samuel Gigot | OneFootball

Serie A side Lazio are now set to seal a move for Marseille defender Samuel Gigot.

Earlier today, there were some doubts about whether Gigot would definitely join the Roman side or not, but it now seems as if the move would certainly go through even though there was interest from the Middle East.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Gigot has received the ‘ok’ from Marseille to join Lazio and head to Italy, with the Biancocelesti closing on the arrival of the Frenchman.

Nicolo Casale’s move to Bologna will help Lazio make room for Gigot and talks for the Italian are now nearing completion. The exchange of documents for Gigot are already underway, with the centre-back set to sign a three-year deal with Marco Baroni’s side.

Lazio have done some good business this summer and it has gone a bit under-the-radar and Gigot could be another such move for the club.
