Lazio have put a pause on talks for Juan Cabal, frustrating Hellas Verona as they would like a deal to be completed soon.

The Biancocelesti have already finalised three deals just days into the summer transfer window, picking up Hellas Verona’s Tijjani Noslin, Salernitana’s Loum Tchaouna and Barcelona’s Cristo Munoz. The club are now pushing to pick up Hatayspor’s Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.

In recent weeks, Lazio have been keeping a close eye on Verona left-back Cabal, believing he’d be a strong reinforcement for Marco Baroni’s squad amidst doubts surrounding current options Elseid Hysaj and Luca Pellegrini.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi and Alfredo Pedulla, Lazio do not currently consider Cabal to be a priority and are focusing on other targets, putting talks on hold for the time being.

In the meantime, Hellas Verona are pushing for a deal to be agreed upon; they have also received interest from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais, giving the Biancocelesti some competition.
