Farke isn't keen to rock the boat too much during the upcoming transfer window, with his team doing well.

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has admitted that he doesn't want to make too many changes to his squad during the January transfer window.

Speaking to Leeds Live, Farke was also wary not to talk too much about the upcoming window just yet, with the Whites needing to focus on their current run of games.

It's fair to say Leeds have done very well during the first half of the season.

Coping without the likes of Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville, the Whites have been able to climb to the top of the Championship table.

And with the quality they have in a number of positions, their fans will be disappointed if they don't manage to secure a Premier League return at the first time of asking.

But the early signs are promising, with the Whites not suffering a hangover following their play-off final defeat against Southampton in May.

Though he was reluctant to go into too much detail, Farke admitted that he doesn't want too much movement in and out of the club during the winter window.

He told Leeds Live: "I will stick with January 4 and we will then have a short breath and we can then speak about what is necessary to do.

"As I've mentioned before, I expect a really quiet January because we are in great shape. We don't want to risk too much. The spirit of our group is good.

"You always have to stay awake but we won't make any decisions in terms of incomings or outgoings before January 4.

"Maybe around the FA Cup game we can have a few discussions on what is necessary or wished but not before."

In terms of signings, there are a few areas the Whites may want to look at.

Their centre-back department may need strengthening with another option if Ethan Ampadu spends much of the remainder of the season in midfield.

They may also want to strengthen their striker area, depending on who stays and who goes.

Wrexham have recently been linked with a move for Patrick Bamford and Football League World understands QPR are keeping tabs on Joe Gelhardt.

If one or both of those players leave, another striker will be needed.

But Farke is right in taking his stance. He doesn't want too much movement and that's understandable, because there's no need to rock the boat.
