Paris Saint-Germain may be gearing up for a significant reshuffle in defense as they face growing uncertainties at the back. With Milan Škriniar potentially on the way out and Presnel Kimpembe still regaining full fitness, the club are actively exploring fresh options.
Meanwhile, with Marquinhos now in his 30s, PSG seem intent on infusing youth into their defensive line. In 2024, PSG bolstered their backline with the additions of promising young center-backs Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho.
However, reports suggest the club are not done strengthening, with another defensive target possibly in their sights. Last summer, PSG made a late pursuit of Tomás Araújo, though the pursuit ultimately fell through before the transfer window closed.
According to Foot Mercato, sporting advisor Luis Campos has recently held talks with representatives of RC Lens defender Abdukodir Khusanov. While discussions are underway, no formal offer has been made for the player.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey reported on Monday, citing sources, that Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have commenced talks over a deal for Khusanov
Newcastle and Tottenham have closely studied the 20-year-old and are confident he can make an immediate impact in the Premier League. Khusanov is reportedly valued at £25 million, including potential bonuses and add-ons.
Championship leaders Leeds United have also reached out with the aim of securing a high-profile transfer, but the report suggests that Khusanov is uncertain whether a move to the second tier would be the right decision.
