Leicester City are closing in on an agreement with Genk for the signature of attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss this summer.
The two clubs have been in talks over a deal to take the Moroccan to the King Power Stadium ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
Leicester failed with a bid to sign him earlier this week and Genk recently communicated the offer they want before agreeing to sell the player.
The Belgian giants want a total package of €27m before agreeing to let the midfielder to move the East Midlands in the coming days.
According to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, the two clubs are now closer to reaching an agreement over a fee.
The negotiations are still ongoing but an agreement between the two clubs is now in the horizon.
El Khannouss is keen on the move as he wants to test himself in the Premier League with Leicester.
