John Percy reports for The Telegraph that Leicester City remain interested in Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson this summer, though he adds that the player’s wages are significant at more than £120,000-a-week.

Nelson had been linked with Leicester earlier in the summer, but reports had since suggested that the player was beyond their budget.

All the same, it seems Leicester still hold an interest in the player.

Charles Watts reports for the Daily Briefing that Nelson will be allowed to leave if a decent offer arrives, but Arsenal are yet to receive any for him.

Watts writes that’s there’s nothing close with Nelson right now, but that could change as deadline day approaches.

West Ham United had also previously been linked with Nelson, but the club went on to sign Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United. It seems a lot less likely they’ll move for Nelson now.

David Ornstein reported earlier in the summer that the Gunners were looking for a fee of around £20m including add-ons to sell Nelson.

Nelson still has a deal with Arsenal to 2027, with an option to extend to 2028, so there’s no pressure on Arsenal to accept a lower bid.

The 24-year-old played 639 minutes for the Arsenal first team in 2023/24, and he was on the bench against Wolves on Saturday.
