Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that contrary to rumours, Lens forward Ignatius Ganago will not join Belgian side Sporting Charleroi, with his entourage now moving on to other options for a potential departure.
The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Belgium this summer, with Anderlecht also being linked to the Cameroon international.
Having arrived from Nice in the 2020 summer transfer window, Ganago has scored 12 goals over the course of his two Ligue 1 campaigns with the Artois club, mkaing 52 appearances in that time.
His last-minute goal against Monaco on the final day of the season notably saw the Principality drop down to third and hand Marseille an automatic Champions League group stage spot in dramatic fashion.
He had also been linked with a move to Newcastle earlier this year, while Lorient and Saint-Étienne had also previously been interested in him, but the Sang et Or were not interested in letting go of a rotation option mid-season. His contract expires at the end of the 2023/24 season.
