Lens interested in Feyenoord’s Jeyland Mitchell

According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, RC Lens have “concrete interest” in a move for Feyenoord centre-back Jeyland Mitchell (20). The Costa Rican international only arrived in Europe from his home country last summer in a €2.5 million move. However, his stay in The Netherlands could soon be over.

Lens are in the market for a centre-back with Abdukodir Khusanov (20) set to leave the club for Manchester City during the current transfer window for what could be a record fee for the French side. The Uzbekistan international has had a breakthrough season for Lens this year.

However, he has missed training last week as well as Lens’victory over Le Havre AC on the weekend as the club now prepare to finish the season without him. Lens are also fending off interest in their other starting centre-back Kevin Danso (26) who has also been linked with a departure.
