A long absence was feared when Anass Zaroury departed the pitch at the Stade Louis II a fortnight ago. The RC Lens playmaker, signed from Burnley, suffered an ankle sprain, which Will Still suspected was serious. However, he is already in the group to face Olympique Lyonnais, although he is not expected to be available from the start.

His return is a boost for Lens, however, they must still do without Kevin Danso, whose move to AS Roma fell through after he failed his medical with a cardiac issue. The club are conducting further tests on the Austria international and he will therefore be absent against Lyon. Abdukodir Khusanov will take his place alongside Facundo Medina and veteran Jonathan Gradit in the defence.
