Bayer Leverkusen have set their sights on Joan Garcia and have contacted his representatives; the UK Mirror reports.
The reigning Bundesliga champions are open to the idea of strengthening their goalkeeping options ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
Current number-one Lukas Hradecky’s deal expires in 2026, while back-up Matej Kovar is believed to be flirting with a transfer away from the BayArena.
Arsenal and Barcelona are also interested in the RCD Espanyol goalkeeper, with the North London club bidding twice for the 23-year-old last summer.
The Gunners supposedly made two offers below Garcia’s €30million release clause but are expected to reignite their interest again.
Espanyol’s sporting director Fran Garagarz told Marca that the club is prepared to soften their stance once they have time to find a suitable replacement.
Garcia has made 25 appearances for the Catalan club who currently sit in fifteenth place in the La Liga table.
