Lille predicted XI v Lyon: Benjamin André out, Angel Gomes to start deeper | OneFootball

After suffering an injury against AS Monaco just over a week ago, Benjamin André is set to be absent for Lille OSC once again as they prepare to face Olympique Lyonnais.

André suffered the thigh injury in the first half of a 1-0 defeat at the Stade Louis II just over a week ago. It is expected that he will be back next weekend, however, he will miss the tie against Lyon, which could prove pivotal in Les Dogues’ chase for UEFA Champions League football.

His absence means that Angel Gomes, who has often started in the No.10 role in recent weeks, will move back into the midfield pivot where he will partner Nabil Bentaleb. It is Hákon Arnar Haraldsson who is expected to start in the No.10 role.
