Even though he is just 18 years old, Jorrel Hato has already established himself as a permanent fixture in the starting lineup at AFC Ajax.

The versatile Dutchman, capable of playing at centre-back and left-back, has also attracted interest from several big clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid.

Indeed, the teenage sensation has emerged as a potential target for Los Blancos who could be in the market for a new left-back after missing out on Alphonso Davies, who decided to sign a new contract at Bayern Munich.

Liverpool also want Jorrel Hato

However, now, according to The Times, Liverpool are also looking at Jorrel Hato as they seek to lay down a long-term succession plan in the left-back position.

Andrew Robertson will soon turn 31 years old and Kostas Tsimikas is not seen as a long-term solution, and as such, the Reds are exploring options to secure the left-back spot for the future.

To that end, the current Premier League leaders are exploring multiple options with Jorrel Hato being one, along with AFC Bournemouth star Milos Kerkes.

Real Madrid are always on the lookout for young talents with potential and Hato fits the bill. Moreover, the 18-year-old also has experience and exposure at the highest level despite his age with 98 appearances for Ajax and five games for the Netherlands national team.

Moreover, Hato’s ability to play at centre-back and left-back also makes him an appealing prospect, especially given David Alaba’s age and recent injury ordeals.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Spanish capital club’s interest in the teenager is concrete enough to act on it in the summer or not. With Liverpool also now in the picture, a battle for his signing could be on the cards.
