Liverpool eyeing up €30m summer move for 20-year-old La Liga star likened to Barcelona’s Pedri | OneFootball

Despite failing to win any of the last 10 matches, it’s still been a very impressive first season back in La Liga for Las Palmas. Garcia Pimienta’s side have dropped to 14th in recent weeks, but their safety from relegation has been all-but secured for some time now. They’ve had multiple standout players throughout the campaign, one of which has been Alberto Moleiro.

Moleiro, who has been likened to Barcelona’s Pedri, has been considered a top talent within Spanish football for some time now. He was excellent in the Segunda last season, and he has taken that momentum into the current campaign. He may have only managed two goals and three assists in La Liga, but his general play has been very good.

Several clubs across Europe are aware of this. According to Diario AS, two of those that have shown an interest in Moleiro are Liverpool and Inter Milan. Real Betis and Villarreal are also keeping tabs, although it’s unlikely that they would be able to afford the €25-30m needed for Las Palmas to agree to a sale.

Barcelona have also held an interest in Moleiro in recent years, and they missed out on securing his signature in 2022. However, it’s unlikely that they will try to negotiate with Las Palmas, which would leave Liverpool or Inter with a clear run.
