Achraf Hakimi is reportedly close to agreeing on a contract extension. However, in football, deals are never certain until they’re officially signed.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, PSG and Hakimi are finalizing the extension’s details, including contract length and salary.

Meanwhile, PSG might still be exploring options to add competition for Hakimi. Fichajes recently reported that the club is interested in Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract expires in June 2025.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in Alexander-Arnold, as noted by TEAMTalk on Friday, though Real Madrid believe they have the best shot at signing him if he chooses to leave Liverpool.

Real Madrid have been closely monitoring the player with hopes of securing him on a free transfer at the end of the season. However, a surprising new report suggests that the Spanish giants may be close to agreeing on a fee to bring him to the Bernabeu during the winter window.

According to Defensa Central, Liverpool are open to a €50 million (£42 million and $54.3 million) deal to let the right-back leave Anfield in January—a steep price given he could move for free just a few months later.

But with Dani Carvajal sidelined for the season, Real Madrid face an urgent need. Carlo Ancelotti has been relying on Lucas Vazquez to fill in at right-back, though he’s struggled in the role.

As a result, Florentino Perez is reportedly ready to push through a deal for Alexander-Arnold now, as Los Blancos aim to stay competitive with Barcelona, especially after their recent 4-0 defeat to their rivals.
