In a major update, journalist Ramon Alvarez reports that Liverpool superstar Trent Alexander-Arnold has already signed for Real Madrid and will play for the Merengues next season.
The England international has emerged as the club’s main target this year to reinforce the right-back position, where there is a clear lack of depth.
With Dani Carvajal, currently out with an ACL injury, not getting any younger, Los Blancos want to lay down a succession plan in place and Alexander-Arnold has been their priority for a long while now.
Alexander-Arnold’s current contract with Liverpool stands to expire at the end of the ongoing season and the Reds’ attempts to renew his deal have not borne fruit.

Indeed, the 26-year-old is understood to have already turned down multiple renewal offers from his boyhood club and as such, everything suggests that he will leave in the summer as a free agent.
Real Madrid have always been the favourites to sign Alexander-Arnold if he were to leave Liverpool and it now seems that the defender has already signed with the Spanish capital club.
The journalist insists that the news of him already signing will be denied by all parties, much like it was done in the case of Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger in the past.
Los Blancos have been trying to fast-track his arrival to this month itself given their problems in the right-back position. But it is unlikely that Liverpool will let him go midway through the season.
But as things stand, Alexander-Arnold is all set to become a Real Madrid player in the summer.
