Two sides meet in the Premier League after a Carabao Cup clash

Liverpool meet Brighton for the second time this week as part of a packed Premier League weekend.

Arne Slot’s side claimed a dramatic 3-2 victory against the Seagulls in the Carabao Cup earlier this week, booking their spot in the quarter-finals.

The Reds ceded top spot to Manchester City by drawing 2-2 with Arsenal last week and will be confident following Wednesday's result.

Slot will be without Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott until after the November international break, while Alisson Becker isn’t expected back here. Federico Chiesa continues to work towards full fitness, but keeps suffering setbacks.

“I'm not expecting him to be in the squad,” Slot said of Chiesa before the Cup game. “Sometimes, he's there with us, training for a few days, and then he goes out with injury again. So, I don't want to put days or weeks on it because I don't put any pressure on him.”

Brighton could welcome back Joao Pedro after his recent injury absence. Lewis Dunk is also pushing to be fit after missing the midweek game with an injury picked up over the weekend.
