Liverpool's Ben Doak already labelled BEST EVER

A former Scottish international has named a Liverpool wonderkid as “the best dribbler of the ball I’ve seen”.

It’s been a fairly successful international break on the whole for a variety of Reds players, certainly when it comes to performing in the Nations League. From Curtis Jones’ impressive back flick goal to Dominik Szoboszlai’s pressure penalty and Andy Robertson’s dramatic last-gasp winner, there’s been Liverpool-adjacent headlines all over the place.

However, it’s another Liverpool player who has been catching the eye alongside Robertson in Scotland’s games against Croatia and Poland who has been coming in for the highest praise.

Ben Doak has long been thought of by Reds fans and Scotland supporters as one of the most exciting young wingers around, and his performances over the past week have cemented this belief in his home country after the two games he played in Glasgow and Warsaw.

"A complete no fear mindset"

Former Scotland striker Lee Miller was gushing in his praise of Doak when speaking with the BBC. “I've watched him for a good few years now and he is the best I've seen at dribbling and running with the ball,”

“He's exciting, he's got a complete no fear mindset of who he plays against. You get the same Ben Doak each time, he just wants to attack and go.”

“That kind of breeds confidence throughout the full team, too. I think if you've got a player that can carry the ball like that, you want to give them it constantly.”

Miller is right to be so effusive in his praise. Currently on loan from Liverpool at Middlesbrough, Doak has quickly become one of the most important attacking players for Michael Carrick’s side and supporters of the North East club are raving about his impact.

Hopefully Doak will be able to bring that same energy and quality back to Anfield when his loan spell is up at the end of the season.
