Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini attended his first post-match interview last night.

Following Roma’s 0-0 draw with Cagliari, Pellegrini spoke to Roma TV: “Two judgments should be made tonight, one for the result which we are obviously not happy with. We had prepared the match to come here, win and take the three points which were important.”

“It was the first, to start well, to give us that extra push and unfortunately this didn’t happen and therefore the judgment on the points with which we come out today cannot be positive.”

“Secondly, regarding the match, there are things we must improve on. But there were also positives in our performance,” he added.

“We’ll start again tomorrow working on the things we need to improve on and realizing the things that were done well today.”

“Every day I come to the training grounds and I see a group of men who work well, who do the things that need to be done, who care, who understand the importance of the badge we have on our chest and this for me is the greatest joy. I’m sure things can only get better from here on out.”
