Loughborough Lightning and Norwich City win FA WNL title ‘six-pointers’, crucial victories in battles to stay up for Plymouth Argyle and Sporting Khalsa.

Northern Premier Division

Halifax 0-7 Burnley (Att: 97) Nottingham Forest 4-0 Liverpool Feds (Att: 895) Sporting Khalsa 2-1 West Bromwich Albion (Att: 150) Stourbridge 1-6 Stoke City (Att: 91)

Mel Johnson added a second-half brace to goals before the break by Charlie Wellings and Millie Chandarana, as Nottingham Forest beat Liverpool Feds 4-0 to go three points clear of Wolves at the top.

Claudia Walker and Heidi Logan each scored twice as Burnley scored seven at Halifax, as they moved within a point of Wolves and have a game in hand.

Evie Priestley hit a hat-trick in Stoke City’s 6-1 win at Stourbridge, Sporting Khalsa came from behind to pick up a precious three points with a 2-1 defeat of West Brom.

Southern Premier Division

AFC Wimbledon 1-2 Plymouth Argyle (Att: 976) Cheltenham Town 3-0 Billericay Town (Att: 151) Gwalia United 0-3 Watford (Att: 100) Lewes 1-1 Ipswich Town (Att: 553)

Lewes held second-placed Ipswich Town 1-1, the Rooks’ Lucy Connolly-Brame cancelling out the opener by Natasha Thomas.

Plymouth got out of the drop zone with a 2-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon at Plough Lane, Charlotte Whitmore completing her brace in the 96th minute.

Billericay Town dropped into the relegation zone after conceding three in the first 30 minutes at Cheltenham Town, including two by Una Lue.

Watford went fourth with all three goals at Gwalia United, Bianca Baptiste first-half goal added to late on by Anna Filbey and Poppy  Wilson.

Division 1 Midlands

Lincoln United 4-2 Worcester City (Att: 64) Northampton Town 0-1 Loughborough Lightning Sutton Coldfield Town 1-2 Notts County (Att: 71) Leafield Athletic 1-0 Boldmere St Michaels (Att: 90) Solihull Moors 1-1 Lincoln City

Abi Cowie’s goal direct from a corner against Boldmere a dozen minutes from time put Leafield Athletic top.

Loughborough Lightning also won by the only goal from Jess Collyer at Northampton Town, whom they leapfrog in going second.

Notts County and Lincoln United picked up three points each too, Lincoln City got off the mark at the 15th attempt in a draw of the bottom two at Solihull.

Division 1 North

Barnsley FC 3-1 Doncaster Rovers Belles (Att: 100) Durham Cestria 5-1 York City (Att: 75) Norton & Stockton Ancients 2-2 Huddersfield Town (Att: 85) Stockport County 0-1 Middlesbrough (Att: 79)

Middlesbrough got the only goal through Jess Mett at Stockport County to move within a point of leaders Cheadle, with a game still in hand.

Norton’s draw with Huddersfield got them out of the drop zone, Charlotte Stuart with both goals for the Terriers, Doncaster dropping in after being beaten at Barnsley FC.

Durham are level on points with fifth-placed Huddersfield following a 5-1 result over York City, with five different scorers.

Division 1 South East

AFC Sudbury 0-2 Cambridge United Ashford Town P-P Real Bedford Dulwich Hamlet 3-0 London Bees (Att: 619) Norwich City 2-1 Chatham Town (Att: 259) Queens Park Rangers 1-0 Actonians

Norwich City sent leaders Chatham Town to a 2-1 defeat with Holly Kennard’s double, now just two points short of them from one game more.

QPR edged Actonians to go into the top half, Ellie Searle striking from distance in the 88th minute.

Dulwich and Cambridge United also heading in that direction after victories, Hamlet beating London Bees as Anna Jowle’s opener was added to by a double from Iesha Swaby, the U’s Bella Simmons and Alysha Stojko-Down on target at Sudbury.

Division 1 South West

AFC Bournemouth 7-0 Bridgwater United Maidenhead United 1-2 Moneyfields Southampton Women 0-5 Bristol Rovers (Att: 64) Worthing 3-0 Portishead Town (Att: 84)

Moneyfields held onto the leadership with a 2-1 success at Maidenhead, Shannon Albuery and Charley Wilson-Wilton their scorers.

AFC Bournemouth remain right on their heels with three games in hand as they made it a dozen straight victories when sinking Bridgwater 7-0, two goal apiece from Gemma McGuinness and Eloise Hall.

Worthing pulled level on points with Swindon in fourth when beating Portishead with three goals by half time.

Bristol Rovers stayed within three points of the Rebels with all five goals of the game at Southampton Women, two of those by Emily Bayliss.
