Atlético de Madrid claimed a dramatic 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in their UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes, scoring twice without reply, including a last-minute goal in stoppage time.
PSG took an early lead when Warren Zaïre-Emery found the back of the net in the 14th minute. However, Atlético responded quickly, leveling the score just four minutes later with Nahuel Molina’s goal in the 18th minute.
The teams went into halftime tied 1-1, with neither able to break the deadlock. In the second half, PSG dominated possession, registering 15 shots to Atlético’s two, but it was Ángel Correa who scored the decisive goal for the visitors, securing all three points with a late strike.

Following the heartbreaking loss, PSG manager Luis Enrique spoke about the defeat that leaves the capital club currently on the outside of advancing to the next phase of the Champions League.
“There are no words,” Enrique told Canal+ (h/t Canal Supporters). “I believe that in our three home matches, we were infinitely superior to our opponents, but we didn’t have luck on our side.
“We have four matches left, and as long as we have games, we will fight until the end. But it’s hard to explain this result. I’ve been in football for over 30 years, and I can’t explain this. It’s just bad luck.”
