Luis Fernando Tena hints at heavy squad rotation for Copa MX clash | OneFootball

After Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Pachuca, Chivas will quickly switch their focus to the Copa MX competition, where they have been drawn against Dorados for their round-of-16 clash.

This tournament marks the first time since 2012 that the Copa MX will be stretched across the whole season, as opposed to previous split-season versions.

Chivas will look to improve on last season’s quarter-final exit and manager Luis Fernando Tena is confident that they can do that while giving some of their lesser-experienced players a chance to impress on Tuesday.

“We have to play very seriously, with great intensity, and we want to rotate the players,” Tena said.

“We have a team so good in quantity and quality that we have to go on rotating. On Tuesday we play at home against Dorados and there will be a rotation of players.”

The return leg will be played next Tuesday, the 28th, after Saturday’s league battle with Necaxa.
