Luis Palma is a great talent but unfortunately Celtic just isn’t the club for him as was evident in his time at the club. He joined the Greek side and has played nine games scoring once since his January loan move.

Congratulations to Luis Palma

Luis played a few games for Celtic in the early part of the campaign so he could well qualify for a league medal in Scotland as well as Greece. That would be a terrific achievement when you consider legends of the SPFL such as water spraying hero Vaclav Cerny will finish the campaign without even having had a sniff of any form of silverware. or maybe he is eyeing a Europa League winners medal? No laughing at the back.

Luis Palma’s future beyond this season remains uncertain

I don’t know what the future holds for Luis Palma, but it looks unlikely we will see him in a Celtic shirt again. Hopefully he finds a club that suits his needs and abilities and perhaps that will be Greek Champions Olympiacos who will now be looking towards the Champions League and will be well aware of how well Luis Palma performed for Celtic in European’s football’s elite club competition for Celtic last season, scoring great goals against both Atletico Madrid and Feyenoord and looking comfortable enough playing at that elite standard of football.

Olympiacos has a decision to make on their £3.5m option to buy Luis Palma

Olympiacos has a £3.5m option to buy agreement with Celtic and will decide shortly whether the Honduran international winger has done enough for them to proceed with the signing on a permanent basis.

Luis for now at least he can forget the current uncertainty over his future for the time being and celebrate being a confirmed title winner in Greece and can look forward to adding another medal to his growing collection when the Celtic ones are handed out on trophy day next month.

Well done Luis! A Champion twice over this season.
