According to Foot Mercato, Malamine Efekele (19), dubbed ‘the new Kylian Mbappé‘, is set to sign a contract renewal at AS Monaco ahead of a move to satellite club Cercle Brugge.

Monaco aren’t ignorant to the growing interest in Efekele. As previously reported by Foot Mercato, Chelsea are amongst a whole host of top-level sides interested in the France youth international. His current deal with the Principality club was set to expire in the summer of 2025, however, as per a report from Foot Mercato, Efekele’s contract has now been extended for a further year. His new deal will expire in June 2026.

He will sign the contract before heading out on loan to ASM’s satellite club Cercle Brugge in Belgium. Many of Les Monégasques’ top talents join the club in order to gain game time. Félox Lemarechal, who has previously captained the club’s Groupe Élite, has flourished during a loan spell in Belgium this season. Efekele will join Cercle on a straight loan deal before returning to France at the end of the season.
